Crafted from vineyards rooted in Robertson’s rare limestone-rich soils, this unwooded Chardonnay captures the purity and vibrancy of its terroir. Grapes are harvested at cool temperatures to preserve freshness and the wine is matured for several months in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees, adding texture and depth. It’s a reminder that exceptional Chardonnay doesn’t always need oak – sometimes, the fruit speaks beautifully on its own.
As a winemaker in the Robertson valley, Loïc du Toit is living out his passion. Already familiar with the Winelands from his schooldays at Paul Roos, Loïc discovered his love for wine and agriculture during his studies at Elsenburg, where he earned a BAgric degree in Cellar Technology. Now in his element in the cellar and among the vineyards of Robertson, he sees each harvest as an opportunity to create something beautiful.
